When you sponsor our 3 HOUR prevention training, we can teach adults how to prevent, recognize and respond to child sexual abuse.

20 adults who are waiting to be trained will come together in our Zoom room with an Authorized Facilitator

Participants will become certified in the award-winning Stewards of Children® training

20 adults will become more likely to intervene when they see signs of abuse

200 children will be better protected from sexual abuse, and more likely to receive appropriate support when abuse is discovered

When you confirm your sponsorship, we will:

Announce the sponsorship on our Facebook page and on LinkedIn, using social media graphics that you have approved.
Introduce your organization to our newsletter list- announcing your sponsorship and sharing your social media details and links.
Invite our newsletter list and wait-listed registrants to attend the training sponsored by your organization.
Mention and/or thank your organization for sponsoring the training in all communications with registrants.
Train up to 20 adults to keep kids safe - each adult has an influence on 10 children, that’s 200 children better protected. Because of you.

When you sponsor a training we’ll add your organization to our ‘Partners in Prevention Page’. We Are Committed to Keeping Kids Safe

Because we know that child sexual abuse is at the root of the most complex and difficult social problems.

We’ve been delivering Stewards of Children® across Nova Scotia for more than a decade. The results are consistent. Adults agree that this training is critical, and it works.

No matter how much we give or donate to programs and services, children will continue to suffer from the effects of childhood sexual abuse.

We Must Change the System

When you sponsor a training, more adults will be empowered to help change the system. That’s what our training is proven to accomplish. Behaviour change. Systemic change.

Systemic barriers have a powerful grip on all of us. Systemic injustice makes a global movement like Occupy fizzle into a distant memory without tangible change.

Systemic oppression can see the world rise up to say Black Lives Matter and then see us all sit back down with nothing significant to show for our effort (actually, Wikipedia says that public support for BLM has measurably decreased). The system left unchanged.

Systemic injustice allows over 368 gymnasts to experience sexual abuse by gymnastic coaches and officials, including Larry Nassar…

We are saddened and shocked.

Just like we were when it was the Scouting movement.

Just like we were when it was the Priests.

Just like we were when it was the Residential Schools.

And just like we are when we learn about it happening in our own families and community.

Our prevention training disrupts these patterns and creates the foundation for a future where equality, justice, health and joy are accessible to everyone.
